1. Purchase Price

The total purchase price of the puppy is $ ________________________________. A non-refundable deposit of $ ______________ has been paid, with the remaining balance of $ __________________ due at or before transfer of the puppy to the Buyer.

  2. AKC Registration (Limited)

This puppy is sold with Limited AKC registration, as a companion animal only. This puppy may not be bred under any circumstances. The Seller recommends that the puppy be spayed or neutered between 18 and 24 months of age to allow for full physical and hormonal development, which can benefit long-term health. However, the age at which the puppy is spayed or neutered should be considered on an individual basis and is at the discretion of the Buyer.

  3. Health Guarantee

The Seller guarantees that the puppy is in good health at the time of sale (excluding any noted health concerns) and as received age appropriate vaccinations and deworming. The Buyer has 72 hours from the time of sale to have the Puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian, and if the puppy is found to have a serious health issue that renders it unfit for sale (excluding minor, treatable conditions such as internal or external parasites), the Puppy may be returned for a full refund or replacement puppy at the Seller’s discretion, with written documentation from the veterinarian. The Seller provides a two-year genetic health guarantee covering life threatening hereditary conditions. Hip dysplasia is specifically excluded from this guarantee due to environmental influences, as well as the nature of the dwarfism in the breed.

  4. Lifetime Commitment

The Buyer agrees to provide appropriate veterinary care, a safe and nurturing environment, proper nutrition, and daily exercise for the Puppy throughout its lifetime. If at any point in the Puppy’s life, the Buyer can no longer keep or care for the Puppy, the Puppy must be returned to the Seller. The Puppy may never be surrendered to a shelter, rescue, or rehomed without the Seller’s prior written consent. The Seller retains first right of refusal and will assist in placement if needed.

  5. Title Incentive Program

To encourage responsible development and training, the Seller agrees to refund the Buyer $50 for each AKC-recognized title the puppy earns, up to six (6) titles (maximum refund: $300). Qualifying titles include: Canine Good Citizen, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Herding, Trick Dog, Therapy Dog, and other official AKC titles. The Buyer must provide proof of the AKC-issued title to receive the refund. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the Seller’s receipt of documentation.

  6. Additional Terms

The Seller does not guarantee adult size, ear set, coat color, or temperament beyond typical breed expectations.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
